We have a proven track record across more than 150 enterprise clients whose operations span over 190,000 locations in 150 countries.

Where we’ve come from

The core technology architecture that sits at the heart of our software platform was developed in 2004. It was used by utilities to capture the reams of data recorded by electricity smart meters, and to manage the integration of this data with tariff engines to calculate electricity bills.

In 2008, we became CarbonSystems, expanding our focus and developing a market-leading carbon accounting engine. This platform empowered organizations to meet compliance requirements in a robust and cost effective manner.

With an eye to the future, in 2013 we returned to our roots in energy management, broadening and enhancing the energy management functionality of our product including deeper integration into buildings at the equipment and sensor level. We took this opportunity to change our name to Envizi – a name that better reflected our broader capabilities.

Today we are excited to provide the world’s most comprehensive sustainability performance management platform, proudly co-created with industry leaders in sustainability.

Envizi has evolved to become a global software company, with teams physically located in Australia, UK, USA and Canada.

DAVID SOLSKY

VP SUSTAINABILITY SOLUTIONS (IBM), CO-FOUNDER, ENVIZI

A passionate technology entrepreneur, David’s vision and leadership have helped propel Envizi from a small Australian start-up to a global market leader. The company’s acquisition by technology powerhouse IBM is a testament to the value delivered by Envizi. David’s track record as a successful IT entrepreneur is complemented by his seven years in the Corporate Finance and Assurance divisions at PricewaterhouseCoopers, which helps ensure Envizi’s solutions meet the rigorous information-integrity standards of the corporate sector.

David currently holds the position of VP Sustainability Solutions at IBM where he is leading a team to deliver a comprehensive suite of sustainability technology to help organizations operationalize their sustainability goals.

BILL CLASQUIN

CO-FOUNDER

Bill has 30 years’ experience in IT development across a range of areas, including retail and wholesale banking, payments processing, medical insurance, investment and funds management, business intelligence, data warehousing and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery. He has successfully founded several technology businesses, including Sagacious Systems, which was sold to Global Technologies prior to listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Over the last decade , Bill has leveraged his broad IT development experience to help create the SaaS data-harvesting and reporting infrastructure at the heart of the Envizi platform.

DAVE RODGERS

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

As Chief Financial Officer, Dave is responsible for internal operations including finance, legal and human resources. Dave’s expert oversight of these important functions frees up the rest of the team to focus on delivering value to our clients and partners. Dave has 20 years of finance and commercial experience with blue-chip professional services and technology companies including Accenture and Infosys.

SALIL NARAYANAN

CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER

Salil is responsible for the strategic direction of the Envizi platform.  Salil was instrumental in creating the initial technology platform that now underpins the Envizi SaaS platform and brings his passion and expertise to continue delivering best-of-breed software to our clients. He has more than 15 years’ experience in software and product development, primarily in leading the design and development of products used by financial institutions in dozens of countries around the world.

JUSTIN WILLOCK

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

As Chief Operating Officer, Justin is responsible for the overall effective and efficient execution of Envizi’s business operations to ensure Envizi delivers on our promise of successful outcomes for clients and partners.  With 20 years of experience in the technology sector, Justin brings a strong discipline of best practice and continuous improvement to Envizi. He has Bachelor of Business and Master of Business Administration degrees.

LYNDEN CLARK

SOLUTIONS DIRECTOR

With over 15 years’ experience working across the commercial, health, university and infrastructure sectors, Lynden has a wealth of domain knowledge and expertise in the areas of smart buildings, building automation, building data analytics and energy management. He ensures Envizi’s solutions enable clients to realize significant improvements in productivity in energy efficiency.

TAMARA ROBINSON

GENERAL MANAGER, MARKETING

Tamara heads marketing for Envizi and is responsible for its marketing strategy and activities globally. She has over a decade of experience in marketing, communications and sales within the traditional and alternative energy industry in Australia and the UK. Tamara combines her marketing expertise and frontline sales experience to bring a sharp commercial focus to the marketing discipline.

TANYA MARCH

SVP, NORTH AMERICA

Tanya is responsible for Envizi’s business and partner development strategy for the North American market. As a founding employee at Envizi, she has played a pivotal role in developing Envizi’s extensive global client base. Tanya has a deep understanding of the technology underpinning Envizi and is skilled at working closely with clients and partners to deliver exceptional outcomes. Tanya brings to her role decades of senior executive experience in strategic business development and sales management.

DAVID MARTENSON

VP SOLUTIONS, NORTH AMERICA

David has more than 20 years of experience in the software industry, and was most recently head of data management for a large energy consultancy. David has a passion for helping organizations achieve real business benefits from software and big data. His expertise lies at the nexus between the client need and the software development teams’ expertise; he applies these skills to help Envizi continually refine products and solutions to meet client needs.

JAMES HOBBS

GENERAL MANAGER, UK & EUROPE

James is focused on building successful, long-term relationships with our clients and partners  in the UK and Europe and growing Envizi’s presence in the region.  James has worked in a variety of market facing roles at Envizi in both the UK and Australia and has a strong sense of the challenges and opportunities facing organisations aiming to improve sustainability and energy performance.  He has a Master of Science degree in Climate Change.
